About @DJBURUS

Well you have made it this far, so I suppose I can let you into my life a little more. My name is Devin Burus, but I go by DJ more often than not. I am a 25 year old college student, who is between jobs as of late Ocotber 2012. I decided to make this blogspot so I could get some thoughts out about what my life seems to revolve around, even among the never ending homework, and discussion posts that come with online classes at that, and that is sports. I am a fan of the stick and ball sports, inparticularly College Football. NFL is okay, and baseball, and basketball get equal play during their seasons as well, if nothing else is on. These sports tend to lose out to anything that involves four wheels, an engine, and trying to live the edge of the tire's grip compared to the weathered track surface, and the ellure to outbrake that guy in front of you for just one more position at the finish. I grew up at the drag strip on any given Friday, and Saturday night. We would load up our 1980 Chevrolet Malibu, which was maroon with a white top, and around 2 foot tall pink lettering that said, "Thumper". My dad would wrench on the car, while my mom would do her best to cut down the tree, and move onto the next round. My family is into cars, both of my parents used to be window tinters, and my mom still makes her living today well into her 40's by tinting windows. My love for auto racing was ingrained into my DNA, and I began to fall in love with the sport of Nascar. During the time I started watching this sport, Jeff Gordon was winning anything he entered in a rainbow colored Chevrolet Lumina with a bright neon green 24 on the side of it. His arch nemesis, which I loathed until his untimely death in Febuary 2001, Dale Earnhardt. As the years grew, I moved more away from just liking one driver, and became a fan of the sport overall. Today if I had to pick just one driver, it would be Brad Keselowski, but I am a huge fan of the underdog. If Jeff Gordon, or even Keselowski were coming to the checkers, and they were in a dog fight with someone like Landon Cassill, Travis Kvapil, Terry Labonte, Bobby Labonte, or many of the other driver's I could continue naming, I would be pulling for the latter to pull the win off. This blog will cover a number of many other topics along with my recent love of Formula 1, Australian V8 Supercars, American Lemans Series, Grand-Am, along with some other smaller forms thrown in there like Nascar K&N Pro series, CRA Late models, Dirt Modifieds and Late Models, and many many more. Well I hope you enjoy the stay, come back and let me know what you think, even if you think I am a raging idiot that needs his head checked. I have thick skin, Let's Go!
